From May 17 and 21, the Annual Meeting of the International Trademark Association (INTA) took place, one of the most significant global events in intellectual property, with a focus on trademark protection. This year, the meeting took place in San Diego, California, bringing together thousands of professionals from all over the world, including law firms, companies, government offices, and international organizations.
Covarrubias attended this high-level event, represented by founding partner Arturo Covarrubias, the head of the Patent & Life Sciences Department, Matias Valenzuela, the head of the Trademark Department, Fernanda Chamorro, and the International Trademark Coordinator, Paulina Espinoza. The team’s participation reaffirms the firm’s commitment to constant update, professional excellence, and the strengthening of its international links.
During the five-day activity period, attendees participated in technical sessions, bilateral meetings, and roundtable discussions on key issues related to the development of the trademark system, including artificial intelligence, cross-border enforcement, complex litigation, trademark regulation in digital environments, and new regulatory trends in Latin America.
INTA is recognized as a global platform for knowledge exchange, best practices, and regulatory updates in the field of trademarks. For Covarrubias, participating actively in this type of meeting allows the firm to anticipate industry challenges, strengthen strategic alliances, and offer its clients increasingly robust, sophisticated, and aligned with international standards advice.
