Associate — Head of Technology Transfer and New Technologies
Gabriel is an Associate and Head of the Technology Transfer and New Technologies Department at Covarrubias. His practice covers four pillars of digital law: personal data protection (Law 21.719), cybersecurity (Law 21.663), e-commerce and technology contracts, and protection of sensitive information and trade secrets.
He is an expert in advising, drafting contracts, and handling litigation in Copyright, Information Technologies, and Technology Transfer. His academic background — Master's in IP and New Technologies (UAM), Cybersecurity Diploma (U. de Chile) — and his track record at Inria Chile, USACH, and UNAB position him as one of the most comprehensive digital law attorneys in the Chilean market.
He also serves as an adjunct professor of Ethics and Intellectual Property at USACH's Faculty of Technology.
